Coach Cheyenne Marinus has just recently graduated from Ferrum College and is excited to start coaching for State Line! Cheyenne is originally from Carroll County where she played volleyball and softball from the seventh grade until she graduated in 2015. Throughout her high school volleyball career she also played travel volleyball for a local team. Her senior year of high school she was captain and received an MVP award. She was Carroll County’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2014-2015. After completing her high school career, Cheyenne played for Ferrum College’s volleyball and softball team for all four years. She set an NCAA record by serving 25 Consecutive Points Served in her Sophomore year at Ferrum. Cheyenne tied a record of 10  aces in a match for Ferrum College her sophomore year also. Cheyenne finished her career at Ferrum with 2,400 assists which is second in school history for assists in a career. Cheyenne also has multiple awards for softball throughout her career and received Academic Athletic Awards each semester at Ferrum. Cheyenne is now teaching at Mount Olivet Elementary School and plays co-ed volleyball.
